Question: So you don’t know either why it is possible that the representatives can perceive their role so remarkably well, without knowing anything about the family?

Bert Hellinger: I have no explanation, but I think about it. There must be something in which everyone participates in the same way. I call this “great soul.” This is but a name. I perceive something, but I do not strive to find precise explanations. I can work with this method without understanding the underlying process. An apple tastes good, even if one doesn’t know where it comes from.
